How do I ask my manager for clearer instructions without sounding difficult?

Try making it about work quality instead of personal deficiency. For example: 'I do my best work when priorities and next steps are written down. Could we summarize action items after meetings so I can make sure I deliver the right thing?' That is a reasonable work-system request. Many people, ND or not, benefit from written clarity.

Specific asks work better than general concern — 'written instructions and one movement break' is much harder to dismiss than 'more support.'
